Costa Rica is renowned for its efforts to combat climate change and its ambition to become a carbon-neutral country. In line with this mission, the country achieved a significant milestone in 2019, with 98% of its electricity generated from renewable sources for the fifth consecutive year.
By embarking on a vacation to Costa Rica, you too can contribute to these efforts by driving an electric vehicle during your stay (such as a BMW i3 sedan or a similar model)****. However, do note that there are certain requirements for renting a car in Costa Rica, including being at least 25 years old, having a valid driver's license, and the ability to provide a credit card for the security deposit.
Join Costa Rica in its pursuit of sustainable tourism and enjoy a guilt-free vacation while making a positive impact on the environment.
