“The journey was an adventure to the north of Mexico. The highlight was the first class chepe train. We spent 5 hours on the train. The company, service and food was first class. The mission winery was an experience. The copper canyon was spectacular. Whilst we did not always understand what was being said the experience was spectacular. Creel - was a town that had an informative museum. Two days in a hotel on an industrial estate on the edge of town was a disappoint. 4 of the 5 hotels were hospitable & amazing locations. Overall this 7 day journey was good. My advice would be spend 1 night in creel. And ensure the hotel is in the town centre. Safer for venturing out at night and an opportunity to experience the culture.”
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that, overall, the service was good—and we truly appreciate the specific recommendation. We’re sorry the hotel stay in Creel didn’t meet expectations. Feeling isolated, lacking Wi-Fi/food options, and especially feeling unsafe is not the experience we want for any traveler. Your suggestion to spend both nights at Hotel Mirador is very helpful, and we’ll use it to improve how we design this itinerary and recommend accommodations—prioritizing comfort, location, connectivity, and security.
