Another day in your vacation to Costa Rica. Today in the morning you will be transfered to the high mountains of the Tilarán mountain range, specifically to the Cloud Forest area in Monteverde. This transfer includes a boat tour of the Arenal Lake; which is one of the largest and most important in Costa Rica. The first part of the trip is graced by the great views of Lake Arenal and its surroundings.
Later, the ascent through the mountains begins. You will enjoy the beautiful rural scenery that adorns the gravel road as you approach the highest parts of the mountain, you will be able to feel a slight change in temperature for being more than 1300 meters above sea level.
Monteverde is known for its rich and diverse expanse of tropical cloud forest. The vegetation covered with orchids, bromeliads, moss and its density make it very attractive for nature lovers. The cool weather will revive the rural experience Costa Rica.
